Epilogue
The 8th edition of the ESUR prostate course was organized in France, in the Lille Faculty of medicine during two sunny summer flanders days (friday 22 and saturday 23 of June 2018). The demand was high : numerous registrations could not be accepted. Overall, 270 delegates, 27 faculty members and 11 industy leaders shared views on how to use prostate MR imaging to better diagnose, biopsy and guide treatment.
High-quality, rich and stimulating talks were given by the most experienced european experts, puncutated by unique and interactive sessions of case review on individual tablets (iPads), virtual multidisciplinary sessions. The local organization committee was glad to host the delegates in great conditions, and allow them to interact with 11 industrial partners, who brought the best of imaging and interventional radiology devices for demonstrations.
The main keypoints of the discussions during the scientific sessions were a) PI-RADS scoring and its future directions, b) the rise of bi-parametric MR imaging for detecting less unsignificant cancers, and c) optimal patient risk stratification and new diagnostic pathways.
We ended the meeting with tons of new ideas and concepts to apply in the upcoming years, and richer of numerous exchanges of views, warm interactions. Also, it was my pleasure to meet lots of young radiologists, and even old friends from everywhere, willing to give their best in prostate imaging.
Again, thanks everybody for your commitment, and making these days so fruitful,
Pr Philippe PUECH (MD, PhD) Head of the department of genito-urinary and women imaging Lille University Hospital

Continuous Medical Education (CME)
The ESUR Prostate MRI 8th Teaching Course, Lille, France, 22/06/2018-23/06/2018 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 12 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
EACCME® credits Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form. Cf. criteria 9 and 23 of UEMS 2016.20.
Please find below the breakdown of ECMEC®s per day:
22.06.2018 - 6,00
